Imphal, December 19 2022:
Socialist Students' Union of Manipur (SSUM) has expressed serious concern over the issue of leakage of question papers of examinations in the State.
With regards to the recent incident of leakage of question paper of the Mathematics subject of the Common Question Pre-Board Examination 2022 conducted by the All Manipur Recognised Private School Welfare Association (AMRPSWA), SSUM in a press release has maintained that such incidents may mislead and discourage the students.
SSUM went on to state that AMRPSWA has been conducting the pre-board examinations to help the students overcome the fear of public examinations and to test their preparedness for the upcoming HSLC exam.
In view of the above concern, SSUM has declared that it will work in coordination with like-minded organisations to probe the matter and provide befitting punishments to the culprits and also pledged support to the investigative activities taken up by AMRPSWA.
Further SSUM also stated that it will extend best possible support to all the activities of the authorities concerned to ensure that the Class 10 and 12 board examinations are held in a free and fair manner.
Meanwhile, AMRPSWA in a press note has informed that the Mathematics exam was reconducted today successfully.
A team of the association led by its Vice-president S Gopeshor and Joint Secretary, P Romen carried out inspection visits at schools in the Imphal East district and it was found that the exams was held peacefully.
