Imphal, October 07 2022:
Ex-MLA of Sagolband Constituency Dr Kh Loken has appealed to individuals or groups who carried out a bomb attack at his residence at Sega Road Takkhellambam Leikai to clarify their motive at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons at his residence, Dr Loken said that the attack was on his life and not just a threat.
Condemning the bomb attack, the ex-MLA said that the miscreants would have planted the bomb during late hours or early morning if the motive was to give some message or threaten him.
Saying that place where the bomb went off is being frequented by many including tuition going students as his house is situated near Tiddim Road, Dr Loken said that he had never done anything which will harm others in his social and political life for years.
The ex-MLA further stated that he doesn't have any bad blood with any organisation nor any monetary demand has been served on him.
Urging the people responsible for the attack to clarify their motive at the earliest, he said that he is ready to apologize if any of his deeds hurt others.
A sit in protest was also staged at Sega Road Takkhellambam Leikai denouncing the bomb attack.
Meanwhile, the Janata Dal (United), Manipur State Council has also condemned the bomb attack targeting its vice president (organisation) Dr Kh Loken last night.
In a statement, JD (U) also urged the people responsible for the attack to make their reason known to the public at the earliest.
