Moyon Naga Christian Centennial celebration begins

The 3-days long Moyon Naga Christian Centennial Celebration organised by Moyon Naga Baptist Association (MYNBA) began today at Kapaam, Chandel district under the theme, "God Our Heritage" .
During the programme hosted by Kapaam Baptist Church Chandel, MYNBA president, Rev Beninon Benhur Ngoruw hoisted the Baptist Association's flag.
Speaking on the occasion, MYNBA executive secretary, Rev Dr Koningthung Ngoruw stated that the centennial celebration was held to mark the 100 years of Christianity for Moyon Naga community.
He also mentioned that Moyon Naga is a tribe residing predominantly in Chandel district of Manipur and Kabo Valley of Myanmar.
"Though a small tribe, the Moyon Nagas have made numerous contributions in various fields over the years", he asserted.
Later, Pioneer Moyon Christian, Mamie Roel led by Dr Danney Chara, Associate Professor, United College Lambung, Chandel unveiled the newly installed monolith at MYNBA campus.
Pioneer Moyon Christian, Jenial Serbum also unveiled a monolith at Kapaam Baptist Church.
