AR interacts with CSOs; conducts quiz competition

Churachandpur Sector of IGAR (South) carried out an informal interaction with CSOs of Churachandpur district at Tuibong on Saturday to develop a sense of security in its AOR in view of the multiple extortion threats being received recently.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that 27 Sector DIG took stock of the situation during the interaction and assured the CSOs of all possible assistance during these difficult times.
A total of 8 CSOs of Churachandpur district attended the meet.
The CSOs appreciated the efforts of the Battalion for conducting such event while stating that it would help in strengthening the cooperation and synergy with local populace.
Churachandpur Battalion also conducted a motivational lecture on "Today's Youth, Tomorrow's Future" for local youth at P Sejol in Churachandpur district on Saturday to spread awareness amongst local youth about mental, physical and psychological effects of drug abuse and importance of sports to fight against drug menace.
A total of 28 locals and youths attended the lecture, which was followed by an interactive session in which queries raised by the youth were answered in detail.
They were also guided and encouraged for recruitment rallies in Armed Forces and various civil and government job opportunities available.
Meanwhile, Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) organised an intra-school quiz competition for the students of ARPS, Pallel on Friday which was participated by 103 students and 17 teachers.
Such events provide an opportunity for children to get exposure by meeting new students and gaining new perspective and also brings in an element of competition which helps improve the overall development of a child, said the PRO in another release.
