UCM distributes mosquito nets to children homes

With the stated objective to prevent spread of Dengue, United Committee Manipur (UCM) distributed mosquito nets to children's homes at Moreh town on Sunday.
In view of the increasing cases of dengue in the border town, UCM also conducted fogging and distributed mosquito nets to the homes since Saturday.
Teams of Imphal East and Imphal West led by DMO Dr Jugindro conducted fogging in Mission Veng, Canan Veng and Nepali Basti while the Thoubal team led by DMO Dr H Manibushan carried out the preventive fogging at Khunou Leikai, Lhangkichoi Veng and New Moreh.
The team led by UCM president Joychandra Konthoujam and Dr Rocky covered Chikim Veng, Shijang Veng, Home Guard Veng and Mission Veng.
They also distributed mosquito nets to children's homes including Epam Lamdam Open Shelter Horned Girls) .
Kulla & Ibellei Children Home (Girls), CDACs Children Home for Boys and Human Resource Open Shelter Home for Boys.
Speaking in this regard.
UCM president Joychandra informed that the mosquito nets were provided to the homes to protect the destitute children from dengue.
Those managing the children's homes have huge roles in ensuring safe upbringing of the children as such should take extra care to shield them from the viral disease, he said while exhorting all concerned to keep the campuses of the homes neat and clean.
