Anganwadi Workers honoured with Indon Maipakpi Memorial Award

The Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with Indon Maipakpi Ningshing Mana Organising Committee jointly organised the 'Indon Maipakpi Ningshing Mana for the Best Anaganwadi Workers of Heirok AC, Manipur' at Th Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen at Palace Compound today.
Dignitaries present at the event include Heikham Dingo Singh, Minister of Department of Social Welfare, Skill, Labour, Employment & Entrepreneurship and Fisheries as the chief guest; Dr Kh Palin Singh, Chairman cum Managing Director, Shija Hospitals & Research Institute Pvt Ltd as the functional president and Ngangom Uttam Singh, Director of Social Welfare and Dr RK Lenin Singh, founder, Share and Care (SAC), Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal as the guests of Honour.

During the event, Laishram Syamashakhi Devi and Moirangthem Rameshwori Devi were honoured as the Best Anganwadi Worker and Best Anganwadi Helper respectively of Heirok Part II Mayai Leikai C Anganwadi Centre and presente with cash award, citation and a shawl each.
Speaking as the chief guest, Heikham Dingo Singh stated that efforts are underway to improve the Anganwadi Centres under the Social Welfare Department.
The Minister also lauded the efforts of Indon Maipakpi Ningshing Mana Organising Committee in organising the Indon Maipakpi Ningshing Mana in commemoration of the services of 'Indon Maipakpi' .
Further expressing hope for the Social Welfare Department to be the most progressive department, he urged the teams in the Department to work sincerely.
He also went on to state that from the moment of birth till death, the Department monitors and provides benefits to the people.
Addressing the Anganwadi Workers, the Minister opined that they will bring honour to the State through their selfless service.
He, then, urged the public to offer their help and support to Anganwadi centres in the State.
Lastly, he shared that over 100 Anganwadi Centres under the Social Welfare Department had been adopted.
