MP Sanajaoba preaches peace at Kpi event

Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba attended the ongoing Shandmasik Vishwa Shanti Mahayagya at Santolabari and Kalapahar in Kangpokpi district which was held with the purpose to bring world peace.
The six-month long Mahayagya which began on June 30 will culminate on December 9.Addressing the gathering, MP Sanajaoba stressed the importance of global peace which the Yagya aspires to bring, assured to construct a Hindu temple in a suitable place and renovate the present Dharmodaya Veda Vigyan Gurukul at Santolabari.
Commending the Gorkhas for organising the programme, he said that the Gorkhas are permanent citizens of the state.
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president Barish Sharma, who also attended the event, spoke about the importance of safeguarding the Hindu religion while maintaining that the Manipuri Gorkhas are also the rightful citizens of Manipur like any other community.
The event was also attended by Basudev Singh, Ajit Das (Prabhuji), Ashok Bansal, Dhanachandra Sharma, Dr Tankanath Khatiwoda, and Pandit Bhawani Subedi apart from civil organisations from the Hindu communities across the state.
While drawing the attention of the authorities concerned in connection with the pathetic road conditions which lead to the event site Santolabari, the organising committee appealed to all public to be a part of the Mahayagya.
