5 more test Covid-19 positive

Imphal, September 18 2022:
Government bulletins on Sunday reported five new cases of Covid-19 from two districts out of 285 samples tested in the last 24 hours in the state, showing a positivity rate of 1.8 per cent.
The five fresh cases (2 males & 3 females) are residents of Imphal East (3) and Churachandpur (2) districts.
As no recovery was reported on Sunday, the number of active cases rose to 30 out of which 17 are in home isolation.
There are 36 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 62 in RIMS.
Earlier on Saturday, two fresh cases and eight recoveries were reported following which number of active cases momentarily came down to 25.No death case was reported on Sunday and the toll stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,787 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 66 D-type and 14 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 711 vaccine doses administered that took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,39,845, out of which 13,18,437 had received the second dose and 2,58,435 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49809), Imphal East (32033), Thoubal (10291), Churachandpur (11284), Kangpokpi (3184), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9977), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3365), Kakching (6973), Chandel (2794), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053), and Pherzawl (477) .
