Senapati bodies observe World Cleanup Day

Senapati, September 18 2022:
World Cleanup Day was jointly observed in Senapati district by 7 Sisters' Foundation, Tribal Knowledge Foundation, Tsiibe Foundation and the Rise Senapati Volunteering Group by cleaning up places in and around district headquarters on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Let's Do It India northeast coordinator Saveio Khole informed that the day is observed in over 191 coun tries to encourage plastic free region and management of solid wastes.
He also declared that the cleanest schools and colleges in Senapati district will be awarded cash prize and certificate next year on this day.
On the other hand, DFO Senapati District Forest Di vision DFO John Sha urged all to clean up the environment and one's surroundings every day.
Though cleanliness should not be enforced, it should be made one's habit and daily routine.
The DFO further encouraged everyone to dispose the waste at proper place.
The observance saw participation of hundreds of school and college students of the district.
