7 new cases logged in last 48 hours

Imphal, September 18 2022:
Continuing with the single digit spike, the State reported 7 new COVID-19 cases and no Covid related fatalities during the last 48 hours.
5 cases, all from the general population, reported during the last 24 hours (September 17-18) were from Imphal East (3) and Churachandpur (2) .
As the 5 individuals were found positive while testing 285 samples, the daily positivity rate was reported as 1.8 percent.
2 cases, all from the general population, reported yesterday (September 16-17) were from Imphal East (1) and Tamenglong (1).The 2 individuals were found positive while testing 221 cases and the daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.9 percent.
With the addition of these 7 cases, the cumulative number of positive cases in the State has reached 1,39,787 including 1,34,765 from the general population and 5022 CAPF personnel.
As no Covid related fatalities were reported during the last 48 hours, the cumulative death toll stayed at 2148 .
8 individuals were discharged during the last 48 hours leaving 30 active cases in the State as of today.
The recovery rate is now at 98.44 percent.
