Noney police seizes 1100 Its of DIC liquor

Noney, September 18 2022:
A team of Noney district police led by SI Gailik Kamei seized 1100 litres of DIC liquor (local made) on Saturday around 6.20 pm from along the NH-37 between Longmai Part-4 and Assam Rifles gate.
The team made the seizure from two traffickers during random frisking and checking.
The local-made liquor was recovered from two Vehicles - one Maruti Gypsy (unregistered) and one Bolero camper (MNO7D/2131) - coming from Imphal side.
The seized liquor worth around Rs 2,75,000 was supposed to be transported to Tamenglong and sold at Rs 250 per litre.
The driver of the Gypsy has been identified as Suaihiamthui Kamei (25), s/o Gaikinlak Kamei of Awangkhul Part-1 village Noney district and driver of Bolero vehicle as Lungthuipou Kahmei, s/o Dilinang Kahmei of Sonpram village, Tamenglong district.
The seized liquor was disposed of on Sunday by the Noney police personnel in the presence of Longmai area 'Nisha bandh' women team and CSO leaders.
