Imphal, September 18 2022:
"BJP's advent in Manipur and the North East region was a little late.
Had the party taken roots earlier, the North East region would have been comparable with Delhi in terms of development", asserted Chief Minister N Biren.
The Chief Minister yesterday released a directory of blood donors at Thambal Shanglen, Nityaipat Chuthek here as a part of Seva Pakhwada which is being observed from September 17 to October 2 in celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sarda, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Dr RK Ranjan, Rajya Sabha MP Leisemba Sanajaoba, BJP Ministers, MLAs and many key leaders of the party attended the function.

Meanwhile, Social Welfare Minister H Dingo and MLA Kh Joykisan donated blood at RIMS yesterday.
Hailing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an incarnation of God, N Biren remarked that Modi's principle of serving the needy and underprivileged on his birthday instead of celebrating the day with merrymaking deserves appreciation.
Biren said that anyone in need of blood can dial the telephone number given in the directory and obtain the required units of blood.
He then called upon all the BJP Ministers, MLAs and party leaders not to waste the opportunity of serving the people from a platform like BJP.
As a family, there may be dissatisfaction and grievances within the party.
But all these problems should be resolved within the party without spilling them out in the open, he said.
The political party which fragmented the country and is taking out a rally across the country by projecting several activities of the Government in the wrong light should have some shame, Biren said.
Politics is basically about ensuring source of livelihood and income for each and every household, he continued.
"It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi's instruction to eradicate corruption, put an end to bandhs and blockades and stop personal politics which proved to be a big motivation to me to serve the public", Biren said.
"Following sincere efforts in line with the Prime Minister's wish of putting an end to bandhs and blockades and build a new Manipur free of communal tension, there was no untoward incident during the last five years", he claimed.
Acknowledging the works done sincerely by the Government, the people re-elected BJP to power with absolute majority, he continued.
Use of Manipur's Leirum Phi on different historic occasions, renaming of Mount Harriet as Mount Manipur and construction of a ship by the name of Rani Gaidinliu are all testimonies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's deep love and respect for Manipur, he asserted.
The Chief Minister stated that MLAs should construct 20 houses each in a year for poverty-stricken people out of their MLA Local Area Development Fund.
At this rate, the Government has been planning to build 1200 houses in a year and 6000 houses in five years, Biren added.
