World Ozone Day observed

The Society for Environment and Educational Development (SEED) and Shakti, Manipur organised a webinar on September 16 to observe the World Ozone Day commemorating the signing of the 'Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer' .
According to a statement, the webinar was conducted with Professor Om Prakash Singh, Department of Environmental Science, NEHU as chief guest and resource person.
Meanwhile, Professor Asha Gupta, Chairperson of SEED and Shakti, Manipur presided over the programme.
Professor Om Prakash Singh delivered a talk on the topic "Healing Of Ozone Layer.
The Montreal Protocol And Beyond" .
The SEED and Shakti members with Santosh Nahakpam, the programme co-ordinator, successfully conducted the programme along with a good number of delegates, lecturers and students from different Universities and Colleges.
The programme was conducted by Dr Sorokhaibam Ibechaobi Devi, Asst Prof Pettigrew College, Ukhrul along with the introduction of the theme of 2022 World Ozone Day - 'Montreal Protocol@35: Global Co-operation Protecting Life On Earth' and Dr Kangjam Binita Asst Prof, Lamka College, Churchandpur.
Dr Daisy Angom, Asst Prof, Toubal College closed the programme.
