U-15 Women's Cricket : AKSDO dismiss YPHUC for 23 runs to seal 309 run victory

Imphal, February 13 2024: AKSDO, Khangabok dismantled YPHUC, Lalambung Makhong batting order with ease to secure an emphatic 309 run victory in the second match of the 1st MNCA U-15 Women's Cricket Tournament here at PCC ground, Mayaikoibi.

YPHUC won the toss and asked AKSDO to bat first.

Riding on half centuries from Rabina Khundrakpam (61-ball 81), Alish Thokchom (35-ball 57) and 82 extras, AKSDO stacked up a huge total of 332/6 in allotted 30 overs before they bowled out YPHUC for 23 runs within 8.1 overs courtesy of Bijiya Khundrakpam (3/0 in 2 overs) and Rabina Khundrakpam (2/7 in 2 overs) shared five crucial wickets.

U-15 Women's Cricket

Moirangthem Creety 46, Laishram Linthoi 20 not out, Bijiya Khundrakpam 18, Langlen Ningthoujam 16 and Ningthoujam Linthoingambi 12 not out also added double digit runs for AKSDO.

Interestingly, none of the YPHUC batters reached double digit figures as Lanchenbi Mutum topscored with 7 runs and five were dismissed on ducks.

Alish Thokchom and Laishran Linthoi also picked a wicket apiece for AKSDO.

Lanchenbi Mutum, Joyshree Charoibam, Loktongbam Tulika, Waikhom Suchitra and Loktongbam Terina had claimed a wicket apiece for YPHUC before their chase was cut short in 8.1 overs.

THAU, Thangmeiband will play MPA, Thounaojam in the next match tomorrow at the same venue.
