Bike rally spreads awareness on road rules

Noney, February 13 2024:
As part of the observance of Road Safety Month-2024 under the theme 'Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha', Noney district administration, in collaboration with Noney Police and NHIDCL, organised a motor bike rally on Tuesday.
The rally which began from at Longmai Bazar main traffic point covered Khumji Bazar and culminated at the Police Check Post was organised to raise awareness about road safety among the youth and school communities.
During the event, deputy commissioner Joseph Pauline Kamson administered the road safety pledge among the bikers, numbering over 20 while a medical team provided free BP check-up on the spot and road safety awareness pamphlets handed out to drivers.
The programme was attended by Namsadai Peter Pamei, additional SP (law & order), NHIDCL officials and Noney DC staff, CSO leaders, students and media persons.
On the first day of the observance, awareness on safe driving and need for adhering to safety norms was conducted at Charoi Chag-otlong High School Nungba, NSCBAV School Rengpang and Tengkonjang Higher Secondary School, Noney, as Noney district police conducted road safety awareness drives at different locations of the district.
