3rd Master Boys and Girls Championship : Sarita Regional Boxing Academy-A emerge overall team champions

Imphal, February 13 2024:
Sarita Regional Boxing Academy (SRBA)-A emerged overall team champions in the 3rd Master Boys and Girls Boxing with as many as 60 points courtesy of 10 boys and girls securing gold medals on the last day.
National Sports Academy (NSA) finished runners up with 51 points while Mayengbam Suranjoy Boxing Academy (MSBA) finished second runners up with 30 points.
Th Arushi earned SRBA-A a gold medal in the U-8 girls 29 kg final with a 4-1 win over Th Romota of IVRBS before compatriot Lanthuiliu Rongmei sealed an RSC win over I Lakshmi of SRBA-B in the 37 kg final.

Y Tomthinganbi sealed another gold medal for SRBA-A beating NBA's Ph Maichoubi 4-1 in the U-8 girls 40 kg final before Parina Oinam beat H Lingjel of NBA in the U-10 46 kg final and T Thoibi thumped N Suman of NSA in the U-10 52 kg final to swell the gold medal haul for SRBA-A.SRBA-A's Chingkhei Chanambam, Daniel Thoudam, E Henthoi and Phavaimi Kashongchung also sealed gold medal beating Kabichandra of SRBA-B, Lanchenba of MBA, Paikhomba Salam of IVRBS and L Bivek of NBA in the boys U-8 25 kg, 27 kg, 29 and 31 kg final bouts.
S Malem meanwhile defeated Ajhar Buyamayum of MBSA 5-0 in the U-10 boys 37 kg final to add another gold medal to SRBA-A's tally.
For NSA, A Tondon beat S Lanchenbi 5-0 in the U-8 girls 33 kg final, Kh Anamika beat Y Lamnganbi of PKBA 5-0 in the U-10 girls final, Ng Binao sealed an RSC win over M Langlen of MBA in the U-10 girls 46 kg final to seal gold medals.
NSA's Pareihanba also sealed a gold medal beating O Lohenbaof SRBA-A by 3-2 margin in the keenly contested U-8 33 kg final before N Robash thumped Ch Nungshithoi of PBA 5-0 in the U-10 31 kg title clash.
Phajaba Naorem and A Rakesh also won gold medals for NSA respectively beating SRBA-A's Sangmei Khayi 5-0 in the U-10 boys 40 kg final and SRBA-A's Lamjingba 5-0 in the U-10 boys 46 kg final.
For MSBA, N Yohenba (U-6 boys 29 kg), S Tarunjit (U-8 boys 40 kg), Sh Manimatum (U-10 boys 43 kg) and B Mustaque (U-10 boys 55 kg) secured gold medals.
Yaiphaba Sanabam of NSA-Khuman Lampak and AK Thoibi of PKBA-Langmeidong were adjudged best boxers in the championships as L Alex of SRBA-A and Lanchenbi Soibam of KBA were declared best challengers.
