Ex-servicemen's wives celebrate silver jubilee

Assam Rifles of IGAR (S), organised silver jubilee celebration of Ex-Servicemen Wives Welfare Association on Tuesday in Ukhrul district, which was participated by over 200 ex-servicemen and their wives.
The association was formed in 1999 as a forum to address the problems of ex-servicemen's wives.
In its 25 years of existence, the association has been instrumental in projecting and resolving the issues raised by its members.
The event was inaugurated by DIG, HQ Assam Rifles, in the presence Ukhrul DC Kengoo Zuringla as the guest of honour, informed PRO IGAR(S).
As part of the event, DIG, HQ Assam Rifles unveiled a souvenir booklet which documented the journey of the association since its inception.
Assam Rifles vowed to extend their aid and support in the future to the association and wished them success in years to come, the PRO said in a release.
