Students protest denial of admit cards

Thoubal, February 13 2024:
Around 100 students, who have not received their admit cards despite submission of requisite examination fees and documents, protested at Lilong Haoreibi College, Ushoipokpi on Tuesday.
The students also demanded that they be allowed to sit for the examination.
Later, a team Manipur Police arrived at the college and controlled the situation.
Speaking to media persons, 5th semester student namely Rabban Dickson informed that many students have been not issued admit cards even though they had paid examination fees and submitted relevant documents at the college counter.
Expressing apprehension that they might miss the examination which they diligently prepared for past many months, he urged authority concerned to investigate the matter and take up necessary action.
Rabban also appealed to the education minister and authority of Manipur University to allow them to appear the examination and save the academic career of students.
It may be mentioned here that the students were planning to meet education minister Th Basanta Kumar on Tuesday to seek the latter's intervention on the matter.
