Noney pier bridge nears completion

Imphal, July 18 2023:
The construction of the railway pier bridge in Noney is almost completed.
Standing at 139 metre, the pier bridge will be the tallest in the world once the construction is completed.
Under North East Frontier Railway, the bridge is being constructed by Bharatiya Infra Project Limited (BIPL).
The construction began on August 15, 2021 .
Speaking to The Sangai Express, an official of BIPL said that 95 per cent of the construction of the pier bridge is completed.
He further said that they are planning to complete the construction by August end.
The pier bridge in Noney would be the bridge number 164 along Jiribam-Imphal railway tracks.
