Bishnupur, July 18 2023:
A sit-in protest was staged yesterday extending solidarity to renowned singer Tapta.
It may be noted that an FIR has been filed against the singer for his recently released song titled 'Kuki Land' based on ongoing communal strife in the State.
The protest was held at Naranseina Keithel in Bishnupur district organised jointly by ELSA, SEVALC, WDA and UNDC.
One of the women protestors while speaking at the sidelines strongly denounced the act of filing an FIR against Tapta as he composes songs based on societal issues from time to time.

Meanwhile, similar sit-in protests were staged at Sunusiphai Mayai Market Shed organised by Apunba Nupi Lup Sunusiphai and Phubala Keithel extending solidarity to Tapta.
