CoTU shutdown continues to affect life

Kpi, July 18 2023:
The 72-hour total shutdown called by Committee on Tribal Unity, Sadar Hills Kang-pokpi continued to affect normal life as business establishments, government offices and educational institutions remain shut apart from cessation of all vehicular movement.
Volunteers-, mainly women, were seen monitoring movement of exempted vehicles along NH-2 road during the shutdown.
Normal life has been hit hard owing to the total shutdown as venturing out of people has also been strictly restricted.
Burning of tyres and putting up boulders were also seen along the highway.
Shutdown will end on July 19 midnight.
