Imphal, July 18 2023:
In view of the unrest situation in the state, Indigenous Manipuri Meitei Pangal Development Organisation (IMMPDO) urged private schools to take only 50 per cent of the school fee from the students.
In a release, IMMPDO pointed out that poor parents are facing serious financial issues due to the on-going conflict.
Moreover, as normal class is not conducted, only 50 per cent of the school fee should be levied by private schools, the release reiterated.
As parents are apprehensive to send their children to schools amidst the conflict, the government should withdraw ban on internet service and initiate online class, it continued, while adding that future of several candidates preparing for competitive examinations are at stake as they cannot read online due to internet ban.
So, the government should restore internet service in the state, it urged.
