PAPPM calls for uprooting narco-terrorists

With the stated objective to completely uproot Kuki narco-terrorists from the soil of Manipur, People's Alliance for Peace and Progress Manipur (PAPPM) will be staging protests at various parts of the valley districts from 2pm till 3pm on Thursday.
Addressing a press meet in this regard at its Singjamei office on Wednesday, PAPPM president Mayanglambam Boby lamented that violence and socio-political instability in the state has been lingering for far too long.
As such, all preparations have been made for the mass demonstration to demand complete flush-out of Kuki narco-terrorists from Manipur from 2pm till 3pm on Thursday.
During the protests, slogans such as "Complete uprooting of Kuki narco-terrorists', Down-Down Kuki narco-terrorists', Save Manipur, Save India', and Go back double standard Assam Rifles', 'Abrogate Suspension of Operation with Kuki terrorists', Deport illegal Kuki immigrants', etc., will be raised.
The PAPPM president then informed that a booklet on the prevailing violence will also be released, detailing the chronology of the conflict under 4-5 sections.
He also recounted that PAPPM had submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister regarding the demand for sovereignty of Kukis put forward in the, Democratic Republic of Kuki Land' by Mark T Haokip.
PAPPM is fighting against the atrocities of the Kuki narco-terrorists democratically, he asserted.
The press meet was also attended by representatives of Apunba Meitei Ima Lup, Youth for Peace and Progressive, and Meitei Resurgence Forum.
According to reports, the peace protests aimed at drawing the central government's attention to bring a solution to the prevailing conflict caused by Kuki militants since May 3 last year, at the earliest, would be carried out in Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Kakching districts.
