KSDO, SCCC, KASC, AMU post big wins in MNU U-14 tourney

Imphal, February 14 2024:
KSDO, SCCC, KASC and AMCA recorded easy victories in the 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament on Wednesday.
KSDO inflicted a crushing 251-run defeat on CYSA at PTRC Ground, Patsoi Part-IV, Imphal.
KSDO opted to bat and posted a total of 288/7 courtesy of Mohammed Abu Sufiyan (79), Kh Firdos (65), Mohammed Zuneid Shah (22), Sheikh Anzar Ahmed (17) and Md Washim (11) .
For CYSA, Moirangthem Sanathoi Meitei claimed 2 wickets while Ningthoujam Sanamacha Meitei, Ningthoujam Abungcha Singh and Ningthoujam Thoithoiba Singh each took one.
In reply, CYSA suffered a staggering batting collapse as their run chase ended in 13 overs for 37.Mohammed Abu Sufiyan shone with ball for KSDO, taking 4 wickets as Md Shadik Israak Hussain and Kh Firdos collected 3 wickets each to hand their team a comprehensive win.
SCCC hammered LCC by 7 wickets at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband.
LCC were all out for 109 in 24.3 overs, with only Okeson Singh Ksh (18) and Prithibash Laishram (13) getting into double digits.
Tomthinganba turned out to be the star performer in SCCC's bowling by scalp ing 7 wickets while Rojesh Athokpam grabbed 2 and Moirangthem Johnson got one.
SCCC then took 10 overs to achieve the target for the loss of 3 wickets, with contributions from Ranjan Moirengjam (27 not out), Tomthinganba (25), Sairem Boinao (22), Rishilamba Thingbaijam (9) and Rojesh Athokpam (1) .
For LCC, Lolex Laishram took 2 wickets and Omega Meitei Senjam bagged one.
AMCA registered a convincing 6-wicket win over NCA at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Imphal.
AMCA skittled out NCA for 146 in 26.3 overs and then they chased down the target in 22.4 overs.
Both Thongam Rahul and Ahenba Longjam scored 29 for NCA in their innings.
Anish was the chief destroyer for AMCA with 5 scalps as Yakil did his bit with 3 wickets and Mustakin contributed one wicket.
In their response, Yakil (29 not out), Mehbuk (24 not out), Imran (28) and Sufiyan (13) helped AMCA complete the chase in 22.4 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process.
KASC too enjoyed a 6-wicket win over their opponents LOTUS in their encounter at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, Imphal East.
LOTUS chose to bat first and were dismissed for 62 in 19.3 overs.
Mehetab and Md Ruhal claimed 3 wickets each while Leishangkhong Maqubul Fida Ali took 2, with Mohammad Sakif Hussain and Md Abdulgani chipping in with one apiece in KASC's brilliant bowling performance.
KASC then outscored LOTUS in 8 overs with 6 wickets to spare as Mohammad Sakif Hussain (17), Mujamin (12), Leishangkhong Maqubul Fida Ali (6) and Md Ruhal (1 not out) scored in their victory.
