Lui-Ngai-Ni greetings

Governor Anusuiya Uikey and Chief Minister N Biren Singh have conveyed their heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur, especially the Naga community on the joyous occasion of Lui-Ngai-Ni, which falls on February 15 .
Stating that Lui-Ngai-Ni is a composite festival of all the Nagas of Manipur, the Governor said in a statement that it is celebrated for a bountiful harvest with the seeking of blessings from the Almighty.
Expressing hope that people will join the festivities in a spirit of oneness, the Governor urged everyone to pray for peace and prosperity for the State and its people.
Extending his Lui-Ngai-Ni wishes, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that the State is passing through a rough phase and its fabric of peace and age old bonding among different communities has been disturbed.
"The festival holds relevance now, as it teaches us to share joy with one another and also promote communal integration and harmony while strengthening the bonds of oneness among the people", said the Chief Minister in his message.
On this occasion, he urged people to pray for a bountiful and bumper harvest and also seek blessing of the Almighty for a prosperous year filled with peace and happiness.
