Scan & Share, eHospital system launched

Taking a significant step towards advancing health care services to the people of Manipur, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission's Scan & Share, eHospital system was launched at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal on Wednesday.
The inaugural function held in front of General OPD, RIMS Hospital, was attended by Dr Somorjit Ningombam.
Mission Director, State Health Society, Manipur; Prof N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Imphal and N Binod Singh, State Information Officer, National Informatics Centre, Government of India, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
Speaking on the occasion.
Dr Somorjit stated that with the launch of eHospital token system under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), RIMS Imphal has taken a stride towards advancing healthcare services in Manipur.
He appealed to the people to create their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID so that their digital health record history can be easily accessed anywhere without standing in long que for OPD tickets.
"This system has already been started at Thoubal District Hospital and Bishnupur District Hospital.
So far, more than 8 lakh people have already created ABHA IDs.
There is no age bar for creating IDs", he added.
Prof N Sanjib Singh said that both doctors and patients are facing difficulties due to overcrowding during OPD hours as more than 2500 patients attend OPD every day.
He continued that with the creation of ABHA IDs, all the problems will be minimized and benefit both the staff/doctors of RIMS and the public.
N Binod Singh appealed to all the stakeholders to create awareness about ABHA ID and its benefits/importance to public.
The programme was attended by all the HODs, faculties, Principal of Dental College & College of Nursing, Nursing officials and staff of RIMS, Imphal.
