Shrine of Tingkao Ragwang inaugurated

Imphal, February 14 2024:
A Kalum Kai (shrine) of Tingkao Ragwang, the creator of Kabui community, was inaugurated with religious rituals at Kakhulong, Paona Keithel, here, on Wednesday.
People from different Kabui villages in Imphal area participated in the inauguration function.
Interacting with the media, TRPC-AMN general secretary Chaoba Kamson said that there were four shrines of Tingkao Ragwang in the past which the Britishers destroyed.
Informing that Tingkao Ragwang is regarded as supreme among the gods of Kabui community, he said the shrine was constructed with the objective to uphold and promote religion, culture, tradition and identity of the community, which have been passed down the generations.

'Khunbu' M Mangoljao and 'khullak' Kadum Kamson attended the event as chief guest and president respectively.
TRPC-AMN vice-president K Chunkeirung, Akhil Bharatiya Vanbashi Kalyan Ashram, all India full-time workers in-charge Srikrishna Vide and Methenmei Kaibang, Kakhulong's Lakpuipi, La-majanglu Gangmei were also present as guests of honour.
