National Sepaktakraw Championship : State junior and sub-junior boys confirm regu quarter final berths

Manipur's junior and sub-junior boys teams had confirmed their places in the last quarter final berths in the regu competition of the 24th Sub-Junior and 25th Junior National Sepaktakraw Championships being underway in Jaipur.
The junior girls also remained unbeaten in the regu event as they cruised to third straight victory today while the sub-junior girls team bounced back for third win in four matches.
The day saw the State junior boys team sign off the league stage (Group D) beating Karnataka and Rajasthan in straight sets for the fifth win in 6 matches.
Having lost to Tamil Nadu yesterday by 2-1 sets, State lads showed an improved side to ease past Karnataka 21-9, 21-8 and overwhelmed Rajasthan 21-8, 21-14 .
Meanwhile the sub-junior boys team extended their winning streak to 5 in Group B league competition securing an easy 21-8, 21-8 win over Andhra Pradesh today.
State boys had also registered a 21-9, 21-10 win over Maharashtra yesterday for the fourth win.
They will meet Mizoram in the penultimate league match.
Elsewhere in a junior girls match, Manipur demolished Delhi 21-5, 21-4 for third win on the trot having beaten Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat with ease in yesterday's matches.
Meanwhile, the State junior girls who went down to Haryana today after wins over Maharashtra and Chandigarh in the Group A league competition, returned to winning ways beating Bihar 21-10, 21-13 today in the fourth match.
