Manipuri Jagoi Marup's new production "Holi" presented

Imphal, March 29 2022: A dance composition for the year 2021-22, a new production of the Manipuri Jagoi Marup entitled "Holi" the colourful festival of Spring was presented today at the Golden Jubilee auditorium of the Marup.

The Director of the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, P Bilash Singh, former Principal of the Government Dance College, Ranjit Adhikari, State Kala Akademi Awardee and Sharatchand Thiyam, Sahitya Akademi Awardee graced the function as presidium members, said a press release by Manipur Jagoi Marup.

The new production was designed by Th Bimola Devi and Th Priyokumar and Irom Joychandra Singh were the music directors.

Speaking on the occasion, the presidium members praised the great initiative taken up by Manipuri Jagoi Marup for the enrichment of Manipuri culture over the last fifty nine years, added the release.
