One new case detected, two discharged

Imphal, March 29 2022:
The number of daily new cases of Covid-19 has come down to only one on Tuesday, which was detected out of 563 samples tested, thus, registering only 0.18 per cent positivity rate against 0.41 per cent recorded on Monday.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll remains at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, 2 patients were discharged from CCCs (2) .
Number of active cases came down to 36 out of which 18 (50 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 297 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 179 in RIMS.
Out Of the 16 districts, only one reported fresh Covid cases on Tuesday.
So far, the state has recorded 11,299 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 304 new positive cases and 8 fatalities.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 36 and 0 respectively.
According to official reports, the lone fresh case detected on Tuesday is a civilian from Ukhrul district.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,087 (general population - 1,32,073 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,34,931 (general population - 1,29,924 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 36 (general population -36 and CAPF personnel - 0) .
The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent.
A total of 281 D-type and 97 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
Whereas, 3127 vaccine doses were administered on Monday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,36,129, out of which 11,80,117 had received second doses and 65,478 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,705), Imphal East (30,419), Thoubal (10,148), Churachandpur (11,049), Kangpokpi (3128), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9826), Senapati (2491), Ukhrul (3270), Kakching (6888), Chandel (2716), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1199), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,179 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,653 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,15,838 tests per million population against the national average of 5,61,006 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent.
In the past 24 hours, only 563 samples were tested and the single day positivity rate was 0.18 per cent while the cumulative rate came down to 8.56 per cent.
