School body hails curbs on festivities

All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has lauded the decision of student organisations to restrict festivities and entertainment programmes in view of the upcoming HSLC and HSE examinations due to begin from April 5 and 7 respectively.
In a release, AMRPSWA secretary N Joykumar appreciated the way how misunderstanding over imposition of restriction on festivities for the welfare of the student community was tackled and urged the student bodies to continue working for the welfare of student community.
Recalling that students were given promotion in the previous year because of Covid pandemic, he said that such promotion will not help in furthering the academic career of students.
The secretary also stressed the need to conduct the conventional examinations for academic session 2021-2022 .
Students who could not access proper education for more than two years might still fear to sit the exam.
As such, BSEM and COHSEM need to look at the students compassionately, Joykumar added.
He further appealed to examiners, flying squads and other stockholders who will visit the exam centres not to cause fear and disturb the students.
Joykumar also wished success to the students who will be appearing the examinations.
