GR Infraprojects Limited receives 'Best Construction Project' award

Imphal, March 29 2022:
The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) project of two laning of Imphal-Moreh Section of NH-39 from Wangjing to Khonkang, a total length of 44.780 kilometres (two lane with paved shoulder) entrusted to GR Infraprojects Limited in the State costing Rs 868.75 crore has been awarded 13th CIDC Vishwakarma Award 2022 by Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) under the category 'Best Construction Project' .
As per a press release by GR Infraprojects Limited, the project is part of the India-Myanmar-Thailand Corridor funded by the Asian Development Bank and named as AS-I Highway.
Owing to the topographic condition of the highway and the steep hilly terrain, many difficulties were faced during the construction however despite of all odds, the project was completed three and half months ahead of the scheduled completion date.
Ishwar Singh Arya (Senior Programme Manager) GR Infraprojects Limited also informed that the new technology of Breast Wall Construction implemented in this project has been appreciated by many and is adopted by other Government agencies as well, added the release.
