RCA, KSDO cruise in MNCA Superplate Tournament

RCA and KSDO notched up easy wins in the MNCA Superplate Tournament on Tuesday.
RCA defeated TCMDC by 87 runs in a low-scoring match at Oriental College Ground.
Asked to bat, RCA were all out for 143 in 24.5 overs as Syed Hussain (44), Md Aqeel (24) and Imran Khan (23) emerged as key run-getters for their side.
The side lost 4 wickets to Kongbrailatpam Kalyan Sharma, 2 each to Laishram Vivekananda and Huirongbam Babulu and 1 to Suraj Kharibam.
Chasing a low target, TC-MDC's batters were unable to cope with a disciplined bowling attack by RCA and ended up managing just 56 in 18 overs as none of the TCMDC batters were able to get into double digits.
Aziz Mirza and Naesh Hussain did the major damage to the TCMDC batting lineup, finishing with 5 wickets each.
Bm Sabakhan snapped 2 wickets and Md Aqeel and Md Iliyas Khan took 1 each in the Lilong side's triumph.
Aziz Mirza was awarded the man-of-the-match accolade.
KSDO, meanwhile, scored a 5-wicket victory ovgr KCC at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
KSDO opted to field and registered KCC to 100/9 in 30 overs.
Hijam Boba (28) and Yumnam Sheiteendra (19) were the only batters who scored in double figures for KCC in their innings.
Tarique Aziz turned out to be the chief destroyer for KSDO with a haul of 4 wickets as Hamza claimed 2 scalps, with Md Shamir Khan and S Shah Nawaz chipping in with a wicket apiece.
KSDO achieved the target in 24.4 overs with 5 wickets to spare courtesy of Hamza (38), Md Shamir Khan (22), Abdul Rafique (17) and Mawaz Sharif (13 not out).
Hamza walked away with the man-of-the-match trophy.
