Women's League: YWC seal back-to-back wins as MPSC beat Youth Welfare Club

Young Welfare Club (YWC) recorded back to wins with a 4-0 hammering of UPSA as Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) beat Youth Welfare Club 2-1 in Monday's action of the 13th AMFA Senior Women's Football League.
S Lynda Kom and Yumnam Laxmi scored a double apiece to steer YWC to another dominant victory after their 8-2 thrashing of ICSA earlier on Sunday.
Lynda was unstoppable in the first period as she led her s ide to a resounding start with am 8th-minute opener before t he YWC striker claimed her s econd goal in the 22nd minute to make it 2-0.Laxmi tripled their lead in the 28th minute and she went o n to collect her second goal in the 63rd minute to ensure YWC enjoyed a thumping win at the end of the game.
Earlier, MPSC netted at both ends to outscore Youth Welfare Club 2-1.The police team toiled through gruelling minutes against their dogged opponents before they finally broke the YWC defence in the sixth minute of first-half added time to take a 1-0 lead.
It was Rebika Oinam who gave MPSC the upper hand with a sublime strike, heading into the second half.
MPSC went further ahead in the 59th minute courtesy of Leihaorungbam Sanathoi.
Youth YC reduced the arrears in the 65th minute through P Kimnungsang Vaiphei but they failed to improve in the remaining minutes of contest.
