MPSC, YWC-L triumph in 13th AMFA Senior Women's Football League

Imphal, December 12 2022: Manipur Police Sports Club (MPSC) beat YWC-Th 2-1 and YWC-L blanked UPSA 4-0 in today's matches of the ongoing 13th AMFA Senior Women's Football League tournament at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

MPSC sealed the 2-1 victory courtesy of goals from Rebika Oinam (40+6') and Leihaorungbam Sanathoi while the lone goal of the Thambalkhong team was scored by P Kimnungsang Vaiphei in the 65th minute.

With the win, MPSC completed a 5-1 aggregate win over YWC-Th in this double league tournament having won the first leg 3-0 .

Meanwhile in the other match of the day, S Lynda Kom and Yumnam Laxmi scored braces to guide YWC-L to a 4-0 win over UPSA-Pukhao and the aggregate 6-1 win having won the first leg 2-1 .

YWC-L continued their fine form and eased to a 3-0 first half lead with S Lynda scoring back to back in the 8th and the 22nd minute and Laxmi scoring her first in the 28th minute.

Laxmi then hit the decisive goal in the 63rd minute. On December 14, ICSA will play KRYPHSA from 11.45 am before YWC-L take on ESU.
