Tengnoupal, December 12 2022:
The Moreh Imphal Van & Other Light Vehicle Service Association has extended its gratitude towards 20 Assam Rifles Khudengthabi for allowing the movement of goods from Moreh to Imphal.
Speaking on behalf of the president of the Association, Romen, a member of Moreh Imphal Van & Other Light Vehicle Service Association stated that merchants and drivers have been greatly affected by the suspension of the Free Movement Regime (FMR) in the Indo-Myanmar border and the prevailing volatile political situation in Myanmar.
It may be noted that the FMR previously allowed people residing on either side of the Indo-Myanmar border to travel 16 km into either country without visa restrictions.
Romen also thanked the 20 Assam Rifles Khudengthabi for their tireless work in serving the people by assigning different entries for passengers, tourists, emergencies and private vehicles and helping people in going about their travels smoothly.
Further, the Association also showed its support to 20 Assam Rifles Khudengthabi for their efforts with regards to the State Government's War on Drugs.
