15th Manipur State League: Adison, Ronik star as SU rout YPHU 5-0, become runaway Group A leaders

Sagolband United became Group A runaway leaders in the 15th Manipur State League witha 5-0 thrashing of Young Physique's Union (YPHU) in their penultimate league match today at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
Ronik Singh Moirangthem and Thokchom Adison took centrestage scoring two goals each to give SU a convincing 5-0 victory over YPHU.
Ronik opened the scoring in the 8th minute before completing his brace three minutes later.
Thongam Lenin then added the teams third three minutes into the added time of the first half as YPHU failed to find their composure.
After the break, SU looked to rest back with the commanding lead until Thokchom Adison who subbed in for Ronik Singh in the 81st minute quickfired two goals back to back in the 85th and the 88th minute to guide SU to sixth win of the tourney.
With the result, SU finished on top of the table with 20 points (6 wins, 2 draws in 9 matches), four points clear ahead of second placed KLASA (16 points from 9 matches) and 7 points ahead of AFC who still have a match to play against Muvanlai Athletics.
In the earlier Group A match staged this morning, KLASA played out a 1-1 draw with MPSC at Mini Stadium Bishnupur.
Soraisam Dhanachandra found the lead for KLASA in the 43rd minute before MPSC pulled level through Ngamkhohen Kipgen in the 64th minute.
In the Group B match staged later in the day, KIYC climbed atop Group B table with a 3-0 drubbing of DMRAO for the 6th win in 7 matches.
Somishan Shirak opened the scoring for KIYC today after 27 minute before Konjengbam Jim doubled the advantage in the 33rd minute.
Ngangbam Naocha then fired home the decisive goal in the 81st minute as DMRAO lost Pebam Linthoingamba off a second caution the same minute.
