5th Hill Leaders' Day conducted in Ukhrul

District administration of Ukhrul on Friday organised its 5th District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit at DRDA Hall, Mini-Secretariat here, in line with the goal of making government more citizen-centric, proactive, and programme execution successful.
Among the 28 departments present at the event included District Health Society (DHS), Horticulture & Soil Conservation, District Agriculture, District Social Welfare (DSW), ICDS, CAF&PD, Handloom & Textiles, District Industrial Corporation (DIC), One Stop Centre, PMGSY, PWD, UD-CRMS, Autonomous District Council, and ZEO.
During the event, Ukhrul deputy commissioner Krishna Kumar received and heard the grievances Of each applicant in the presence of CEO Peter Kashungnao, ADM Chunglenmang and DFO Shanngam.
After consultations, the applicants were later referred to head of the department concerned for resolution.
During the event, DC Ukhrul also presented baby kits to six female children and their mothers as part of the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' programme.
CAF&PD Department distributed 5 kg of rice to four ONORC members.
In addition, the District Horticulture & Soil Conservation Department provided drips and sprinklers as well as equipment to three beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, DHS Ukhrul issued 12 birth and death cer-tihcates, three CMHT cards, and two PMJAY cards.
They also provided Covid-19 vaccines and blood sugar testing facilities on the spot.
DSW Office received 13 applications for old age and widow pensions under MOAPS, CMST, and CMWPS.
CAF&PD Department also received three ration card applications, while the Veterinary Department granted two KCC loans and DIC issued one e-Shram card.
The district Revenue Department, on the other hand, issued 16 certificates for unmarried, character, distance, land valuation and religion.
Of the 120 people who attended the event, 40 local/ villages were registered, and 69 applications/grievances were received.
The district administration will host its next event on December 3 .
