Blood donation camp conducted

Under the aegis of State Blood Cell, National Health Mission Manipur; NSS Unit 1 and 2 of S Kula Women s College, Nambol in association with People's Resource Development Association (PRDA) Bishnupur, Manipur Voluntary Health Association (MVHA) Imphal, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Bishnupur District Branch and Green Universal Foundation organised a one-day voluntary blood donation camp at the multipurpose hall of the College on Friday.
The camp was attended by MVHA secretary L Suranjoy, IRCS Bishnupur chairman and Health & Family Welfare Department retired additional director Dr W Gulapi, College principal Dr W Robindro, NSS programme officer Dr L Sumobala, PRDA assistant secretary and IRCS Bishnupur secretary (international awardee) Dr H Romen, treasurer (state awardee) Th Netaji and others.
In all, 31 people including the College principal and NSS Programme Officer along with students, teachers, non-teaching staff and volunteers of IRCS Bishnupur, PRDA, DPUVO and GUF donated blood.
However, 13 students could not donate blood as they did not meet the criteria for donation.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr W Robindro appreciated all who participated in the camp and said that similar camps will also be conducted in the fixture.
