House reduced to cinders

Senapati, November 18 2022:
A devastating fire suspected to be from a short circuit destroyed a double storey wooden house having six rooms at Bridge Colony, Senapati near DV School at around 12 noon today and consumed properties worth around Rs 80 lakh.
The ill fated house belonged to one Kh Lokho (Tadubi).
Reportedly, two fire tenders pressed into action while colony residents and neighbours assisted in dousing the fire.
Four families including the house owner and three tenants have been rendered homeless by the fire and they are taking shelter elsewhere.
According to sources, the fire first started from a tenant room and later spread to others.
Sources said that only the wife of the house's owner was at home during the fire tragedy and she saved a 7 month old infant.
It is reported that the fire destroyed Rs 23 lakh in pash belonging to Kh Lokho, around 400 tins of paddy rice, washing machine, furniture, gas cylinders, Almirahs, Televisions, and other household materials.
At the time of filing this report, sources said that Red Cross Society Senapati Branch, BSF, NPO officials .also visited the site.
