National workshop held at CI College

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of CI College, Bishnupur under the sponsorship of Institute of Bhagavat Culture and Dr Thoudam Damodar Singh Global Excellence Foundation organised a one-day national workshop on 'Foundation And Applications of Science and Spirituality' at the conference hall of the college on Friday.
The College is one of the first government colleges in the state to organise such workshop, and it was attended by Nviera Technologies Private Limited director and AIR India, Mumbai former assistant general manager Millinder Sagar as chief guest and College principal Dr M Mangi Singh as president.
Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Ropar (Punjab) Prof Ramjee Repaka, Institute of Bhagavat Culture director and ISKCON vice president Robindro Aribam (Ramanujadas) and CI College Physics HOD and Science and Spirituality National Workshop convenor Dr Th Nando Singh were also present as guests of honour.
Delivering the keynote address, Robindro Aribam informed that the workshop was organised as part of the upcoming birth anniversary of ISKCON founder Damodar Singh, which falls on November 29.Stating that the syllabus of Science and Spirituality Synthesis will be included in the National Education Policy, the director said that an interaction will be held with experts from outside the state on how religious teachings could bring about peace and serenity in our life.
During the workshop, which was attended by delegates from different colleges of the state, Millinder Sagar spoke on 'Science, Spirituality, Synthesis of Science and Spirituality' and Prof Ramjee Repaka on 'Holistic Life Skills, Positive Thinking, Career Success And Growth, Stress Management' as resource persons.
