Training on scientific poultry farming held

A one-day training programme on scientific poultry farming was organised jointly by Humanism Foundation and Directorate of Extension, Central Agricultural University (CAU) at Kalika Lok Maring Khul, Kakching district on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Directorate of Extension, CAU deputy director Dr Dipak Nath urged the attending fanners to engage in scientific farming to increase their income.
Dr Dipak Nath also encouraged the farmer trainees to adopt scientific farming in order to increase their produce and uplift economy.
While expressing keen desire maintain a fruitful long term relationship with CAU and villagers of Kalikalok, the deputy director also assured to extend all possible assistance from the side of his department.
CAU Livestock assistant Dr N Keinatombi explained about the benefits of scientific poultry farming, as resource person, while Humanism Foundation managing trustee Dr Rorrkychand Singh appreciated CAU for organising the training programme for the 30 households in Maring Khul.
Dr Keinatombi also demonstrated on various aspects of scientific poultry farming and ways to become a successful poultry farmer.
Altogether 25 farmers of the village participated in the training programme.
