CPC outplay KPC in 38th Men's State Polo Tournament opener

Imphal, January 15 2023:
Chingkheihunba Polo Club pulled off a 5-3 victory against Khurai Polo Club in the opening match of the 38th Men's State Level Polo Tournament 2022-23 at Mapal Kangjeibung on Sunday.
N Premananda played a pivotal role in his side's win, grabbing a hat-trick.
Both teams were tied 1-1 in the first chukker where Th Manisana put CPC ahead before L Chalamba made it all square for KPC.
In the next chukker, the Chingkheihunba riders looked pretty comfortable as they jumped out to a 4-1 lead courtesy of a pair of goals from N Premananda and a single from N Sadananda.
CPC added a goal in the third chukker through Premananda who completed his treble to make it 5-1 before M Bhupendrajit found KPC's second goal.
The Khurai squad further reduced the arrears in the fourth chukker through Th Inaotomba but that was not enough as CPC held on to emerge 5-3 winners.
On Monday, Lamphel Polo Club-A will take on K&M-MRS-A while Linthoinganbi Kangjei Lup-B face KRYPHSA Polo Club.
