2nd general conference of MPF, Assam held

The 2nd General Conference of Manipur People's Front (MPF), Assam was held at Don Bosco Technical School (Boscotech), Silchar, Assam on Sunday.
In a release, Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Manipur information & publicity secretary Yumnam Laksman Singh informed that the conference was attended by IDS, Manipur chairperson professor N Mohendro Singh as chief guest and MPF president Yengkhom Upendra as chairman, while Thangjam Agro Industries Private Ltd managing director Thangjam Joykumar Singh, poet Tahir Sajabam, Karimganj (Assam) assistant commissioner/executive magistrate Priyanka Yumnam and Manipuri Development Council (MDC), Assam chairperson Reena Singha were present as guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, professor N Mohendro remarked that a strong society means a strong base of development and a strong society is the outcome of mutual understanding, trust, goodwill and high sense of maturity of larger section of the society.
"There are certain critical gaps in physical, technological, knowledge and market connectivity which are to be filled up so that we may not be left out with dismal future," he observed, while adding that lack of institutional parenting for the social entrepreneurship is another problem.
The release further mentioned that Th Joykumar encouraged young Manipuri entrepreneurs in Assam, and emphasised on the need to have patience and nd compromise on product quality.
One should be bold enough to face the challenges of life to become a successful entrepreneur in the society, he said.
