Kangleipak Students' Association to look into emerging group clashes among students

The 17th foundation day observation of Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) was held today at Khoyathong Tombisana High School playground.
The foundation day Celebration was graced by Professor RK Hemakumar, Dean of School of Engineering, Manipur University as the chief guest while Sukham Bidyananda, KSA president and Joychandra Konthoujam, president of United Committee Manipur (UCM) attended as the president and guest of honour respectively.
The programme commenced 'with the ceremonial candle lighting and hoisting of the KSA flag.
While speaking at the occasion, Professor RK Hemakumar extended best wishes to KSA on the completion of 17 years and lauded the tremendous contributions made by KSA for the well-being of the society and student community in particular over these past years.
He further appealed to KSA to continue working for the betterment of the students so as to bring in positive changes in the society.
Delivering the presidential speech, Sukham Bidyananda expressed gratitude to all who have supported KSA in all its endeavours.
Maintaining that education is the backbone of the society, he appealed to all students to work sincerely and strive for a progressive society.
Expressing concern on the emerging cases of group fights among higher secondary students, he said that such cases may put the future of the students at stake and are unacceptable.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, he appealed to the teachers and parents to guide these students properly to build a secure future for them and make them responsible citizens.
He further stated that KSA will take up strict measures to ensure that such incidents do not happen thereby creating a conducive environment for the students to study peacefully so as to enhance their knowledge.
UCM president Joychandra Konthoujam recounted the numerous activities of KSA towards societal issues and student community.
He also appealed to the students to make sincere efforts and work in a disciplined manner so as to excel in various fields.
He further assured to extend best possible help to KSA for all its initiatives.
