National Constitution Day observed

As observed across the country, Constitution Day was also celebrated in Kangpokpi district yesterday to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly in 1949 .
In Kangpokpi district, the day was observed in various Government/Autonomous offices and educational institutions, including police stations by reading the Preamble of the Constitution to reaffirm the commitment to uphold it's ideology.
Every year, the Constitution Day or Samvidhan Divas is celebrated on November 26 to mark the significance of the constitutional values, generate awareness on the importance of the Indian Constitution and it's architect Dr BR Ambedkar.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Constitutional Day, Modi Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) also organised a pledge taking ceremony at Modi, Chandel District, yesterday, said a statement of IGAR(S).
The troops of Modi Battalion took the pledge to reaffirm the country as sovereign, social, secular & democratic republic, secure justice, liberty & equality for all citizens and promote fraternity to maintain unity & integrity of the nation.
