KangleiSA players, officials felicitated

Kanglei Sports Academy (KangleiSA) felicitated players and officials, who represented the state at the BKI National Karate Championships 2022 held in Udupi, Karnataka, in a function held at Kyamgei Youth Pioneer Club (KYPC) community hall on Sunday.
KangleiSA vice-president professor L Joykumar, joint CEO Manipur Ramananda Nongmeikapam, AMUCO president Ph Nando Luwang, KYPC president Nepram Kishan, Thoithoi Adventure Park chairman Khadangbam Inaoba, Kyamgei GP former pradhan Akoijam Sobha and Thongju Part 2 GP former pradhan Nameirakpam Chingkhei attended the event as presidium members.
Altogether 25 players participated in the championships in different categories and the state team won 46 medals which include 29 gold, 10 silver and seven bronze medals.
Speaking on the occasion, KangleiSA technical chairman Kh Sanjit observed that organising events like Manipur Olympic Games will motivate young and emerging players to pursue their career in sports.
He also called for extensive support to the players from the grassroots level instead of just felicitating medal winners in order to strengthen the state's sporting prowess.
