Like Minded Group continues philanthropic activities

Like Minded Group (LMG) Manipur, Publicity Secretary, Rakesh Naorem has called all to help one another in times of need and help in creating a harmonious and unified society.
He made the above appeal while speaking at the sidelines of extending monetary aid of Rs 20, 000 by Like Minded Group to the parents of Waikhom Manimatum of Thoubal Kshetri Leikai who is in a serious condition owing to a personal illness.
Manimatum is a student of Class IX, he added.
The team of LMG led by its secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam and members namely Manglem Waikhom, Maibam Eteen Meitei, Kunjeshwar Mangsatabam.
Surendra Ningomba, Elangbam Rameshwar, Jollykumar Thongam, Sobita Maibam and Inaoni Tendongyan went to the residence of Manimatum and extended the monetary aid to provide some relief during this tough times.
Rakesh Naorem while emphasizing on the motto of LMG which is 'Service to Humanity', he said that the group was formed during the COVID-19 pandemic by likeminded people with the vision of extending best possible help to the needy people setting aside all forms of differences.
He went on to inform that LMG which is a new body has been able to help to 75 needy families within a short period of time and expressed that the group is able to carry out such philanthropic acts due to the ongoing support of its members and well wishers.
He also called for further support so that LMG can continue to help the needy ones and promote their upliftment.
It may be noted that the mother of Manimatum is a handloom weaver while his father is a daily labourer.
The serious condition of their only son has put the family in a more vulnerable state, he added.
He also informed that with the collaborative effort of LMG and Singjamei360, a total of Rs 34, 000 has been collected after seeking help for the family through social media platform and appealed all to extend best possible help.
