District Hill Leaders Day, Meeyamgi Numit held widely

Bpr/Chd/Spi/Ukl, April 21 2023: District Administration, Bishnupur organized Meeyamgi Numit at Ningthoukhong KhaLamlong Bazar Community Hall, Ward No 9 in Bishnupur district today.

This month's edition of the peoples' day is the first outreach Meeyamgi Numit organised outside the District Headquarters.

Deputy Commissioner Lourembam Bikram, accompanied by SDO Bishnupur, SDPO Bishnupur and DLOs heard the grievances of around 320 applicants pertaining to CMHT Card, Labour Card, Widow Pension, Old Age Pension and Ration Cards among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Lourembam Bikram stated that the purpose of Meeyamgi Numit is not only to address the grievances of the public, but also to raise awareness on the projects and schemes implemented by various line departments in the district.

Cautioning the public against unauthorized conversion of agricultural lands in contravention of the Manipur Conservation of Paddy Lands and Wetlands Act, the DC urged the people to report illegal activities in agricultural lands to the district administrations.

Chandel
The District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit for the month of April, 2023 was held at the Multipurpose Hall, Mini-Secretariat, DC complex, Chandel today.

As a part of today's programme, the District Level 1st round of National Deworming day was also launched by Chandel DC Mayanglambam Rajkumar.

Around 200 children from different schools and ICDS were given deworming tablets at the venue today.

In continuation of the 'Seri-Entrepreneurship Develo pment in Aspirational Districts of North-Eastern India' project, Chandel DC through the District Sericulture Department, distributed silkworm rearing appliances to the beneficiaries of the district in presence of the of District Sericulture Officer, Chandel Amang Mangte, Assistant Director (Tasar) .

As usual different departments like Health, Social Welfare, Agriculture, ICDS and all the other departments of the district rendered services to many individuals of the district.

Free medical check-ups were also conducted by the Health department at the venue.

Today's program was attended by, SDOs, DLOs and other officials of the district.

Senapati
For the month of April, the Senapati District Administration organised the District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit today at Khabung Karong Village Community Hall, Senapati District.

In today's event, Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, Senapati DC distributed ration cards, school uniforms and free textbooks, fire extinguishers and yoga mats.

A welding machine and a water pump were also handed over to the village Chairman and Secretary for operation and maintenance of the water supply scheme under NESIDS.

During the event, grievances relating to various departments were addressed and numerous Governmental schemes were also distributed.

Ukhrul
The 8th edition of District Hill Leader's Day and Miyamgi Numit was held at DRDA Hall, Mini-Secretariat, Ukhrul today.

The event was addressed by Ukhrul DC Krishna Kumar IAS initially appealed to the DLOs to give priority for resolution of their clients.

Issuing Governmental scheme cards and addressing the problems of the people by various Departments were the highlight of the programme.

SP Ningsem Vashum, IPS; CMO Kapangring, CEO David Kashungnao MCS, ADM Chunglenmang MCS, SDO Ukl & Chingai Suranjoy Maibam Singh, Mangminlen Vaiphei SDO&ADM Jessami, ACF Amit Khaler IFS among others graced the event.
