Citizens for Justice formed

An organisation titled 'Citizens for Justice' which will serve as a platform to educate people about their human rights, ways to seek legal aid and spreading legal awareness has been formed.
Advocate Khaidem Mani, chairman, Citizens for Justice shared this during a press conference held at the Court Hall of Consumers' Club located at Old Assembly Road today.
Saying that the organisation was formed on April 13, he added that it will attempt to address the issues that cannot be tackled by CSOs and the public.
The acting-chairman of Manipur State Human Rights' Commission went on to state that the organisation is a common platform formed by those in the legal fraternity as well as many like-minded people from different walks of life.
The newly constituted organisation will also aim to enforce the Rule of Law and achieve good governance in the State as well as focus on integrating the people and bringing about peace and prosperity.
Meanwhile, A Goutam Sharma, convenor, Citizens for Justice spoke about the need to spread legal awareness among the people, ranging from consumer rights to human rights, to ensure that they get justice.
